Host Sepp Waldner breeds Haflingers on his private stud farm near Lake Reschen. His foundation mares are part of the Haflinger elite of South Tyrol. Visit the Meran racetrack, where many professional races take place on weekends – including the second-largest hurdle race in Europe: "The Grand Prix of Meran.

Hafling Village
Just about half an hour from the hotel, lies the small village of Hafling, where the magnificent horses originate. Admire the majestic animals as they graze on the alpine meadows or set off on a ride yourself with the blonde-maned creatures. Many stables offer riding tours.
Meran Riding Club
With a riding school, indoor arena, and competition grounds, the Meran Riding Club, located directly at the racetrack, offers everything a rider's heart desires. Here, you can take dressage or jumping lessons and improve your riding skills.
